Foolish people

Last night I was talking to somebody who had a misunderstanding of something I said earlier concerning a friend of mine. Basically the person thought I had something bad about them and went on to tell me stuff like "Being a Christian isn't all about going to church." "You don't need to go to church" "That place is full of 95% people who do whatever they want to do and are hypocrits."

So this person expressed her opinions, I defended my faith and my home as best as I could, and then I tried to apologize for the misunderstanding, but this person saw fit to hang up on me.

This morning while I was in prayer and worship I was moved by the Spirit to read Proverbs 18:2

"A fool finds no pleasure in understanding
but delights in airing his own opinions."

Some people don't want to truly understand God's word, they just want to examine and then shout their own opinions about it.

This person believes that you don't have to go to church, and you know what they are right...but they are also a fool. Because when they use the word church, they refer to a building, they don't know what the church really is.

We are the church, everyone of us who has been delivered and strive to do what is right in God's eye, who do our best to live as Jesus lived. We are the church, the body of Christ and it's not good for us to do anything alone, for we need the fellowship of other believers, brothers and sisters in Christ.

So I urge you not to be a fool, don't listen to the opinions of those who don't understand, seek God and you will find Him.
